BIMBOW S.A.S. is an island company registered in San Andrés and Providencia, with an active RUES business registration as a tour operator. It runs its parasailing trips with its own boat (licensed by the Port Authority), certified harnesses and professional captains. At the dock you’re welcomed by Patato and Charly, who coordinate the departure and are with you from start to finish.
Exploria handles your booking and the deposit; BIMBOW runs the activity and receives the balance on the day of the tour.
Things to know
- RequirementsMinimum age: 6; minors always fly with an adult and only if the harness fits them properly. For safety, there are weight limits: about 50 kg minimum to fly solo and, on tandem flights, a maximum of 160 to 180 kg for both people combined, depending on the day’s breeze. Pregnant women and people with heart conditions, recent back injuries or severe vertigo can’t fly. You don’t need to know how to swim.
- What to bringWear your swimsuit or comfortable clothes. Sunscreen, applied before you board the boat. Small bills for the port tax ($5,000 COP per person). Phone in a waterproof case with a neck strap, if you want to film.
- Paying the balanceYou pay the balance to the operator at the dock on the day of the activity: in cash, by bank transfer or by card, whichever you prefer.
- Port taxSeparately from the balance, the port tax is paid at the dock: $5,000 COP per person, in cash, before departure.
- Photos and videosThey’re optional: at the dock they offer GoPro photos and video for an extra fee.
- If the weather prevents flyingIf DIMAR (the Port Authority) closes operations that day because of the weather, or the captain decides the wind isn’t safe for flying, we let you know right away and reschedule your flight at no cost or refund 100% of your deposit.
