Safety tips for your tour

The Caribbean is best enjoyed when you go prepared. These tips apply to almost any experience — and the ones specific to yours (age, health, restrictions) are in the “Things to know” section of its page.

Before you go

  • Check your experience’s requirements and, when you book, let us know about any health condition relevant to the activity.
  • Bring your ID (and the IDs of any minors traveling with you).
  • Pack sunscreen, water and suitable clothing for the activity; out at sea, the sun is stronger than it seems.
  • Arrive at the meeting point on time: departures depend on real schedules and conditions.

During the activity

  • Always follow the instructions of the guide and the operator: they know the sea, the weather and the terrain better than anyone.
  • Use the safety equipment you’re given (such as the life vest) throughout the activity.
  • Drink water often and look for shade during breaks.
  • Avoid alcohol during activities, especially water activities, and look after your personal belongings: bring only what you need.
